The Chain of Baltics

People of the Baltics are rebellious. History tells that instead of a gun, they are more likely to come up with more humanistic ideas. Their unbreakable free will was always a deadly weapon. There is a dozen of examples of non-violent resistance. Lithuania has a unique phenomenon of book smuggling and one of the best examples of peaceful movements for freedom in the world – the Baltic Way.

On 50th anniversary of Molotov-Ribbentrop’s pact 2 million people gathered to hold hands on a highway going from Vilnius to Tallinn to attract the international attention and disengage from the Soviet union.

This tour is as inspiring as this story. It will introduce you to the well-known cultural highlights of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia and will also include a few highly important visits to the places, where the real decisions about the region’s future were made. Most of the travel guides are likely to bypass them, but we seek to reveal the real and vulnerable past of these three countries.
